San Diego - Day in LA

We spent an entire day up in the Los Angeles area. First on our list was checking out McKay's childhood home. McKay was so giddy telling me alllllll about his neighborhood and who lived where and about that one time he did that one thing over there or how he rode his bike over here , etc. It was fun to watch him go down memory lane. My favorite quote was him muttering, "Everything is smaller than I remember..." hahaha

We then headed up to the LA LDS temple to see some good friends from our home ward in Portland who are currently serving a mission. It was fun to spend lunch with them and get a tour around LA's awesome visitor's center and the stunning temple.

We didn't take many photos, but we also checked out the Santa Monica Pier and the Huntington Beach Pier. Santa Monica was not my cup of tea. WAY to crowded and overrated. Also it was smelly...
The Huntington Beach Pier was great, I'm glad we stopped there. The beach is gorgeous and very big! We strolled around a local market that was going on and watched the sunset.

I was surprised at how few photos we have, but we spent SO MUCH TIME in traffic that once I thought about it, it made sense. I am not a traffic fan and it sucked being in the car for over 6 hours that day. But we made it out alive and with some great memories, and that's what counts.
