Elowah & Upper McCord Creek Falls

IMG_2041
FINALLY we had a few days of sunshine coupled with McKay and I's schedules lining up. I work every night, and it seems like on all the sunny days McKay just happens to work mornings, which leaves us unable to get out on the trails together. Well, finally the stars aligned and we hightailed it out of Portland and into the Columbia Gorge - our favorite place.
Since this would be our first hike of the season and our first while I'm pregnant, we picked a shorter one. We hiked a little over 3 miles and it was faaaaaan-freaking-tastic! I felt amazing the entire time and don't feel like being pregnant slowed me down much.

Of course we took our usual set of goofy pictures!IMG_2002

First we visited Elowah, then you have to back track half a mile and take a different turn on the trail, which will lead you to Upper McCord Creek Falls.

There was a section right on the edge of a cliff that provided an amazing view of the gorge. I'm falling in love just looking at the photos again!IMG_2090

As usual, our date with the gorge left us swooning :) until next time, beautiful!
